Nagliai Nature Reserve covers an area of 1680 ha. It stretches from Juodkrante to Pervalka for nine kilometers. Here you can see the Gray Dunes, also known as the Dead, the flooded areas of former settlements, the forest vegetation of native origin and the soils of centuries-old forests buried under sand. Strong winds create spectacular ravines and ridges in these dunes. In some places fragments of old soils fall out from under the sand.

Explore this reserve and discover the Gray Dune landscape at the 31st km of Smiltyne-Nida road, where parking is provided. There is a special sightseeing trail with a length of 1100 m. About half of the trail passes through reinforced pavement (gravel, boards), the rest passes through sand.
