On October 23rd 1987, The Council of Europe, based in Strasbourg, issued the Declaration of Santiago de Compostela, proclaiming the Way of st. James and its branches across Europe as Europe's first cultural path. Lithuania is also depicted on the Declaration Map. The way leads through cultural, religious objects.
This is a minimum two-day itinerary. It is recommended to travel by car along the route.
