Varėna is usually remembered in autumn - it is no secret that everyone who loves mushrooms attracts to this city. However, Varėna is unnecessarily forgotten in other seasons, as it can surprise with a wide range of educational and recreational activities in nature. We invite you to start the route of nine objects around Varėna in Merkinė mound, where you have a wonderful view of the surrounding forests, and to finish it in the village of Margioniai village, reminiscent of stone and brass age camps. Also along this route, you will have the opportunity to visit the Merkinė Museum of Local Lore, located in the building of the former church, as well as visit such historically significant objects as the ethnic-architectural village of Musteika, which will provide knowledge about beekeeping traditions. We invite you to get acquainted with other objects while traveling. We recommend traveling by car, the driving time will last up to 3 hours, and the total time spent will depend on the time you devote to each object.
